The Triune God Life is about community and relationships.
In community we discover God in mutual love and service.
In relationships we reflect the giving and receiving of love.

As we celebrate Pentecost our prayer may be that the Spirit may come and set us alight anew.
Then people will see God through us as we ‘shine’ in the world around us.
Life is a journey -we all make right and wrong decisions.
We have things in life we regret.
If there is genuine love in a relationship then there will be forgiveness.
God says to us all, “My child,
welcome back you are forgiven”.
Our society works on ‘rules for good people and punishment for bad things’. In suffering this is challenged.
In Isaiah, God says that he worked differently, persevering in faith in adversity.
In Luke the story about the bad Fig tree is challenged, but with caring and nurture, good is achieved.
Lent is a season of repentance and lament. Christians convince
themselves they are good people and of good moral perfection.
“Holiness”, is not about the absence of sin, but a significant heightened awareness of sin.
In the awareness of our frailty before God and of our sin; the more we experience God’s saving grace and the abundant generosity of God in our lives.
In this reading the Devil is personified and speaks clearly in Human language.
The temptations of Jesus talk
clearly about satisfying hunger, using power to influence, keeping safe
from harm.
May our practices in Lent give us wisdom and draw us closer to God and his/her creation and purposes.
Love is All There is!
We are called to imitate Jesus in loving and unloving experiences. The heart of God is for us to be One

What is revealed – who is this Jesus?
This story tells of God’s abundant Love embracing all human beings.
God fills the expectation far in abundant to the expected – “Grace upon grace”.
With all the Christmas Celebrations we can loose sight of Jesus.
Our minds and faith are easily led away from Christ. Domestic violence increases, along with suicides.
Easy to waste time seeking in the wrong places for the peace Christ came to bring – Christ is available for all today.
