Advent ( from Latin adventus,”Coming”) is the preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
We’re welcoming the eternal CHRIST – the Christ that is forever being born in the human soul and history.
It’s about us awakening to the birthing of God.
Jesus is not not out for what he can get from being a King, he is here to give.
What a paradox: a leader here for the people! A leader who wants to bring truth to the fore.
There is a difference between making a deal with God and making a vow to God. Hannah was an inspiration recognizing that whatever happens will be of God and therefore belongs to God. Even Godly people experience times of deep anguish and trouble.
To be active agents of change we can only lead others as far as we ourselves have gone. We have no ability to affirm or communicate to another person that they are good or special until we know it strongly ourselves.
