Jesus wasn’t into an easy and attractive message. Not something
an advertising agency would want to address.
He calls us to take up the cross, to share the burden of the world.
Carrying the cross is a way of life. It is about putting God first.
Being ready in many situations is very important. Each advent we hear the call to be ready.
Pause, reflect and identifying hazards in our spiritual life by taking moments of stillness.
Christmas is nigh so ‘make ready’ for what is to come!
In this reading the Devil is personified and speaks clearly in Human language.
The temptations of Jesus talk
clearly about satisfying hunger, using power to influence, keeping safe
from harm.
May our practices in Lent give us wisdom and draw us closer to God and his/her creation and purposes.
‘Making straight’ means no diversions.
God comes to transform your life in ways that lift burdens, receive this gift.
