In living out our faith, what hope is possible. Can shattered lives be restored, dignity reclaimed and self worth be rediscovered?
Can our society look with outward eyes and love with open arms to see greed replaced by grace, and fear and suspicion replaced by love and trust?
After all, it is God’s kingdom and not ours.
As Jesus wandered the dusty roads connecting with people he showed his true humanness.
Then an another event happens and and Christ’s Divinity and his path to Jerusalem looms before everyone.
Fully human and fully divine as required in all its depth, for what the cross and tomb will demand.
God’s love is not reserved for a once a year religious event be it Christmas or Easter, a few privileged people or confined to a time or place.
God’s love is revealed in Christ’s humanity, for the sake of all our humanity.
What kind of king was Jesus?
A king who is also a shepherd who knows us, loves and forgives us.
A king who walked dusty roads, served with a towel and a bowl.
A ruler who sees us as his children and walks with us in joys and sorrows.
