Minister in Northern Beaches Uniting Church, Sydney-part of a multi-site centre comprising Balgowlah, Manley, Cromer and Freshwater. Married to my wife Joanna with 4 adult sons aged from 18-28. My interest is Theology and just completed a Masters at UTC – I am a lifelong learner! My sporting interests are surfing – I used to watch for the kids in the water and now they look out for me!!
What good news do we proclaim? It will be different for every time and place.
But the common thread is we are ‘Servant People of our Servant Lord’ and our ‘Servantship’ must express the Mission of God – the way Christ lived and taught.
Following Jesus is not an easy choice. It may require us to make Jesus our ‘Top Priority’ and be willing to give up anything for God.
However it may not be an ‘either’ /’or’ choice but finding a balance in our commitment and making Jesus the foundation of all we are trying to do so we can say “Amen”.
