Families can sometimes be damaging. Even in the time of Jesus’ ministry this happened.
Jesus’ ministry was to liberate people from the powers that oppressed them.
God always offers an open relationship of acceptance; of forgiveness; of belonging.
ALL AGE MESSAGE
Sometimes we do things because that is the way it always was!
That may not always be helpful, as what we are told is not always true.
It is hard to change when things have always been done in a certain way, but maybe some correction is needed to now be more appropriate.
