In the story, Jesus says not to think of ourselves as more special than others, but to remember that we are all special to God who loves and welcomes each of us into the family.
Because of this, we have the responsibility to share that welcome with others, to be humble and to love other people.
Where people are treated badly, we should help them to be seen as just as special as everyone else.
