Jesus tells a story where workers all get paid the same amount but for differing hours of work.

The Kingdom of God is not about “Fairness, or where we all stand, it is about what we receive”.

The Kingdom of God is the divine Commonwealth for the common good of all people so everyone has enough.

Jesus came to upturn things, no one is suffering because some have more and others have less.

The world is not a fair place – many have more than is needed and others have not enough for daily survival.

Fairness is about making sure there is enough for everyone, and in sharing, the world is working for the good of everyone.

How can we love God who we can’t see, when we don’t love the neighbors that we can see?
