19th April, 2026 (Year A – Easter 3) “The Road to Emmaus”

The disciples walked the road to Emmaus and were lost and confused by what had happened.

Jesus joined them but they did not recognize Him.  He opened the scripture, restored their hope and re-framed their understanding.

Many of us still walk through the seasons of confusion and disappointment and also do not recognise Jesus.

We need to expect Jesus to meet us along the way, in the course of everyday.

ALL AGE MESSAGE

In our community punishment may be needed when the law is broken.

God’s laws work differently – we may need help when we cause sins to happen.

God sent Jesus – his Son, paid the price to forgive and free us.

We need to thank God for paying for our sins so we can walk away and be forgiven.
