The disciples just followed Jesus – no questions asked! They wanted to “see the Father” he spoke of.
However Jesus sometimes really confused them with his teaching.
He went out and changed the world and showed the work of God and the Holy Spirit to all
and told them to go out and do likewise. What did all that mean?
Interpretation – people interpret the same things in different ways.
Our brains can read all the words but our hearts need to also be involved in interpretation and action.
Christmas – the birth of Jesus was a promised fulfillment for the world.
Simeon’s promise was fulfilled when he was able to name ‘Jesus’.
The ‘Rough stuff’ in our lives matters to God God is interested in what is happening in our souls now and wants to help us deal with distractions that separate us from wholesome lives.

Life is a journey -we all make right and wrong decisions.
We have things in life we regret.
If there is genuine love in a relationship then there will be forgiveness.
God says to us all, “My child,
welcome back you are forgiven”.
Most have some difficulties in their lives. Jesus’s point was, that rather than seeking prosperity and ease, if we desire to follow after him then we may have to pay a price for Christ’s sake. Currently the trend is to follow your own heart but Jesus says deny yourself and follow him.
Passion compels us into action. Action that is fueled by love and not obligation, not rituals but commitment. Be careful what you say and how you use the Bible text!
