Our names for God help us as we struggle to name our experiences of the sacramental mystery we encounter in both the intimate and the overwhelming mysteries, many of us choose to name in English (or our mother tongues), as God.

God has many names but today, Trinity Sunday, we home in on God as ‘Father, Son and Holy Spirit”. These words are reaching for our understanding of the mystery of the one we call God, who loves us as we are and at the same time creates planets and sun and is bigger than we can find words for in so many ways. Are these 3 words enough?
